About Dominic
Dominic, Founder and CEO of Azimuth Consultants, brings almost 40 years of experience working on land and offshore rigs. His career has taken him across India, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, the Middle East, and West Africa.
The “rig hand way of learning”
When he began teaching seven years ago, Dominic brought a different approach to the classroom: what he calls the “rig hand way of learning.” Drawing on decades of hands-on experience leading teams and overcoming operational challenges, he uses real-world stories and practical scenarios to help students connect what they learn with life on the rig.
Dominic founded Azimuth after seeing a gap in the training offered by other institutions. He wanted to bring rig experience into the classroom and give drilling teams practical learning grounded in the situations they face at work.
